🔥 Light The Fire 🔥

Sooo I burned all of my New Age things....

I know many won't understand, but know that I am grateful for my former self.

It took 3 months of mourning & integration; 3 days of 3 hour burning sessions of 38 cards, astrology books, plus other idols burned; and 3 seconds underwater for my baptism to completely surrender to the guidance of the Holy Trinity (3)… Peace has never run so deep within my soul. 🙏🏻

My old beliefs brought me to where I am now, and I have no regrets or negativity towards it, only love and gratitude.

I completely burned all of my New Age items as a declaration and confirmation of my choice to move forward into this new life, and I am forever grateful.

God asked me to clear the way for Him because these parts of who I was were blocking me from going into the next season I am about to be welcomed into. I'm so glad I listened because doors have opened, and I am more clear of mind. It's truly an honor to do His will.

I'm grateful for the support and love as I'm sure it's a shock to some and a sigh of relief to others. 😅 I'm still Rachel, I am just reborn and more in love with life.

Within 3 hours of sharing the above entry and video on Instagram, I lost 33 followers. In the following 21 hours, an additional 7 dropped me, and I'm sure there will be plenty more to come. I have also gained a handful of new followers who resonated with this testimony. I thankfully understand that God is just pruning me to bear more fruit of the spirit. 

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." John 15:1-2 (NIV)

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23 (NASB)

Old me would have freaked out seeing that many people dropped me so quickly, but I feel completely safe and secure in myself and where I'm going that it honestly hasn't bothered me. In fact, I'm welcoming it with a smile on my face! I was a little surprised to see who unfollowed me, but my Instagram was focused on New Age practices for 7+ years. Of course I won't be a good fit for everyone who initially followed me now that I'm in this new season of life. I have so much love and appreciation for those who were part of my life during that time and genuinely wish them so much love and happiness. And I have so much love and gratitude for those who are sticking around and are new to me!

I recognize that when stepping into your truth, you can't expect everyone to stick around. Nor should you want to! Let God prune you, like a branch preparing to bloom in "Spring" so you can have an abundant harvest. And let yourself shine so bright in your true, authentic way that it'll keep lighting the path toward who you are meant to be and where you are meant to go. I feel grateful to be where I am and where I was. I pray that everyone finds their path of peace and abundance in their own way. I'm just excited to share my light and welcome those willing to feel the warmth.
